Many on the righter side of right bemoan our ‘soft’ stance on those immigrants who come over here and take the cleaning/hospital portering/fruit picking/car washing jobs that should rightfully be ours. I’m sure both they and Donald Trump will find much to admire in the stance taken by our close, arms-buying allies in Saudi. Yes, you read that headline correctly: 1.35m rounded up in the last month alone. Hope you’re as open-mouthed as I was. If so, join Amnesty International. It’s about all we can do.
