Why are we suddenly becoming so exercised about Trump and Putin’s fake news? We’ve had plenty of our own for many a year, the Mail branding judges ‘Enemies of the People, the Express’s  referendum day ‘We must get out of the EU’ headline, The Sun’s ‘Will the last person to leave turn off the lights if Neil Kinnock wins’. Surely, if we try to block Putin’s propaganda, we should turn off our own tabloids’ Twitter accounts? Unless we think our people are bright enough to know a load of twoddle when they hear it. Hmm…

Are workers working from home more or less productive than those catching the 7.02am to London Bridge every day? ‘Probably sitting at home in their bleedin’ jim-jams’, said someone recently of a less-than-helpful call centre employee, the assumption being that, were they surrounded by colleagues and with a manager cracking the whip, he or she would have sorted his energy bill more efficiently.
