Both they and many others in that part of the world, have been buying stuff in all points west for some years now, as well as making and selling other stuff to us. There are certain chickens here, which will at some time come home to roost. That may be the amount Central London and other cities in foreign ownership, the African mineral rights and mines owned by the Chinese government or our reliance on their factories to provide our ‘phones and computers. To quote ‘The Godfather’, ’I am happy to help you. But some day, I will ask you to do a service for me…’

There’s a perception that whatever might be the consequences for the rest of the world, Trump as President should be good for business. Surely, as a business man himself, he’d be the friend of Corporate America, and everything, money-making-wise, went pretty well last time around didn’t it?
