Sort of amazing that this is seen as a good news story that now as many as 20% of advisers raise the subject of ethical investments with their clients. Actually, not ethical, but what I would call ‘ethical-lite’, or pescatarian, if, on our scale, ‘full-ethical’ is vegan. ‘ESG’ looks at how companies are run so theoretically, a land mine manufacturer could be in there, if they have a non-slavery policy and turn the factory lights off at night. And you have to wonder how many of these conversation are along the ‘are you interested in tree-hugger stuff’ lines. But still, tiny steps…
