It’s not me who’s the stuck record. It’s the idiots who repeat, or allow others to repeat, year in, year out, the same old, costly mistakes/cons/scams. A self-invested pension, run by an establishment, brewing-dynasty-type name. Clients’ money goes in, then is invested in dodgy, unregulated investments, storage pods, unbuilt holiday homes, usual stuff. All goes belly up and non-dodgy advisers (and ultimately our clients, who wonder why we’re so expensive) carry the can and cough up. Yawn.

In an election year, all parties will try to be all things to all men. Mostly, it’s only stuff which matters ‘on the doorstep’ which matters. In isolation, Mrs Miggins (not my invention) will be delighted that her pension has gone up with the highest measure of inflation; and no one running a business will be complaining that National Insurance has been reduced.
