“Is Coronavirus bringing us together as a nation”

I used to think one of the great things about walking in the beautiful Cotswold countryside compared with, say London or the suburbs of, was the friendliness of those you’d meet. Always a cheery ‘Good morrow’ and more often than not some dog or weather-related banter. Now, although lockdown is supposedly uniting the nation, even those you vaguely know avoid eye contact and most certainly any form of interaction, as if walking home through some particularly dodgy area at 3am. But if you called them on FaceTime, Zoom or WhatsApp (parents etc.?;probably not any more) they’d be all over you like the proverbial, I’m sure. All very confusing.
