This is very sad, both for Neil Woodford and those who’ve lost money by investing, or being encouraged to invest with him. It’s all very well for holier-than-thou advisers to say they told you so (although I did), and that those who did not should have looked under the bonnet (although they should). Many already wary of investing now won’t bother; and a great talent who took one risk too many will probably never work in the business again.
