Just been reading John Bercow’s account of the rows in parliament this time last year, illegal pro-roguing, no deal, ‘this is a dead parliament’ etc. What a waste of time and energy it all seems now; like hearing details of the rows leading up to a divorce once both parties have gone their separate ways. In this case, one’s ended up with an unsuitable partner and the other’s moaning but powerless. The financial settlement, however, is still to come…
