I had a sudden vision of the future, listening to Boris and Richi last week, talking about Building Back Better with Fair Pay for All. We’re going to become Scandiwegian. We’ve tried being Continental, and we’ve tried getting Continentals to do our dirty work on the cheap. In Norway, Sweden et al, everyone is paid well but everyone pays lots of tax and everything costs a lot. Is that what all that stuff about a Norway Deal during the Brexit talks meant? And maybe why we’re suddenly hearing new Abba songs on Radio 2? I can feel a conspiracy theory coming on…

There’s a perception that whatever might be the consequences for the rest of the world, Trump as President should be good for business. Surely, as a business man himself, he’d be the friend of Corporate America, and everything, money-making-wise, went pretty well last time around didn’t it?
