The fear factor may work to an audience of the converted, but, won’t if, or rather when it comes to a proper election. Most under-30s don’t remember any of the bad things about a Labour government, and students see mounting debts and once-shiny-new colleges starting to look shabby. Many of the 30+s (not sure if that’s generation X, Y or Z) had worse experiences under the austerity of the last 10 years, for which they certainly don’t blame Labour. Many of them obviously thought it was the EU’s fault…so of course everything comes back to Brexit in the end.
