Last week I told you about the difficulties I’d experienced trying to park to drop off stuff to charity shops, a reflection the woes of our high streets. This provoked the biggest reaction I’ve had since I inadvertently misspelt the name of a Somerset town (yes, really!) a couple of years ago. Kindly readers have emailed me to tell me how to find back entrances where I may be able to park and donate; and many more with links to the websites of charities which will arrange home collections. All of which, I’d say, proves my original point.
