We discovered, the day before departing, that we needed visas to travel to Turkey. Slight panic, but turned out to be an online money-making exercise and easy to sort. It reminded me, though, of my salad days working as a holiday rep in Spain and Greece, before either joined the EU. Difficult to believe now, but in both cases I had to fly home every few months to renew my visa and work permit. So much to look forward to as we head for those Sunny Uplands.
