Looking at all of the New Year ‘what’s going to happen to the stockmarket’ predictions from fund managers, there’s not a huge amount of prediction. The majority mouth the usual ‘maybe it will, but maybe it won’t, and there’s still plenty of value but you need a good manager’.
Only the famous Neil Woodford is bold enough to say there’s a bubble that’s going to burst. But, famous for being ahead of the curve, his own particular bubble burst last year. So perhaps he has a vested interest in wishing for a little ‘schadenfreude’?
