I was watching ‘I’m a Celeb’ last night. I’m not going to make any excuses or tell you ‘well, the kids insist, can’t stand it myself, never heard of any of them, how can they call them celebrities etc’. It’s actually great fun and great TV although I doubt, without putting too fine a point on it, that I’m the ‘target demographic’.
It was one of the ads, for ‘118 118 Loans’ that has caused me to ‘come out’ as a viewer.Their promise of quick and easy loans is what that ‘target demographic’ is supposed to hang on to. What caught my eye, however, was ’99.9% APR’. Borrow £5000 and pay back £10,000? Think the backing track should be the theme to ‘Jaws’…
