Most of us aspire to be HNWIs. That’s High Net Worth Individual or ‘rich enough to sit on a beach all day’ in normal-speak. Apparently, we’re losing more than we’re gaining these days, along with China, Russia and India, whose rich and famous also head for more salubrious shores. What’s unusual, nay, unique, is that it’s happening under the watch of a Tory government, with most heading for Dubai (no comment, in case I’m banged up next time I visit), Singapore and TrumpLand. Hmm. Makes me realise that there’s a lot to be said for the Cotswolds.

Are workers working from home more or less productive than those catching the 7.02am to London Bridge every day? ‘Probably sitting at home in their bleedin’ jim-jams’, said someone recently of a less-than-helpful call centre employee, the assumption being that, were they surrounded by colleagues and with a manager cracking the whip, he or she would have sorted his energy bill more efficiently.
