I remember the anti-Vietnam war protests when I was growing up and the many who branded the protesters nutters/troublemakers/hippies. The Civil Rights movement was at its height around the same time, then came anti-apartheid and of course before that, Ban the Bomb and Votes for Women. With the gift of hindsight, would you say any were wrong? No more than you’d now ask for an ashtray and light up in a restaurant or on a plane, I’d say.

Here’s the flip side. Should a business not have the right to choose whom it serves? If you as a client, or more likely potential client, rub us up the wrong way, are a declared anti-vaxxer or support the barges, can we not, as a business, say ‘Be Gone’?
