I pride myself on being savvy about these things. But I must now admit that, I, too, have been the victim of a scam. In the modern, throw-away clothing world, it’s ‘phones, not old jumpers and shorts that are handed down in larger families. So the child (well, almost-adult) at the bottom of the pecking order ends up with the oldest Apple product. What sort of parent would I have been for not taking seriously their claims that their ancient iPhone was slower than the proverbial ox cart? I, of course upgraded them. Thanks, Mr Mac.
