I jumped on the bandwagon 20 years or so ago, shopped around and changed my ‘phone provider from BT to NTL. This was in pre-broadband days when the internet came through your ‘phone line (kids ask your parents). They were a nightmare, went bust a couple of years later, and I had to go back to BT with tail between legs; which was a complicated and time-consuming process, needless to say. Since then, I’ve ignored all those who’ve triumphantly told me they’ve saved a tenner a month by changing their electric/gas/oil/mobile supplier every fortnight, and stayed with BT/Vodafone/SSE etc. through thick and very often thin. Wasn’t it all so much easier when it was the Gas Board (kids etc.)?

Here’s the flip side. Should a business not have the right to choose whom it serves? If you as a client, or more likely potential client, rub us up the wrong way, are a declared anti-vaxxer or support the barges, can we not, as a business, say ‘Be Gone’?
