I remember when I first started in this business we had to ensure that anyone over 75 had a family member or solicitor with them before we advise. That would now include both of the most recent US presidents – although, interestingly, Nadine is the oldest member of our current cabinet, none of whom can yet claim their state pension. Esther wants a Minister for Older People (which she classes as over 55s) to be added to their number. How old would they have to be? And when the current young become old, will they be worrying about having to use cash instead of apps to park? The point is, we’re all different, your old is my still pretty young, and there’s a lot to be said for common sense. Particularly in car parks. I’d say.
