Brexit may be comparable to a divorce in emotional terms (good for one partner or the other, tragic for the kids) but the process is, I’m afraid, rather different. If the UK is the metaphorical wronged wife who has finally broken away after many downtrodden years, the finances would be settled by an impartial judge not apportioning blame, nor allowing bad hubby to exert undue influence.
