We get a lot of post from companies who tell us they can’t stop their old computer systems churning out paper. On a bad day, half a dozen separate envelopes can arrive from the same company. Madness. We scan and shred it all as we are, really, paperless. You’d think it would be in the interest of other businesses to do the same but this week we had an extraordinary email from one: ’Since we started working from home, we have been sending statements to you by email. We now have a solution in place that means that we can post your statement to you.’ So they’ve cracked doing things electronically, all the while desperately trying to find a way to go back to paper! I despair.
