My business has been paperless for nearly fifteen years now. Piles of post arrive from the many archaic companies with whom we deal, we scan and shred it. We ask them to email instead to save us the bother but ‘computer says no’ and has to print stuff at their end. What amazes about the secret papers story is that there were papers that could be lost. Surely there are MOD boffins who can encrypt stuff online enough to avoid it having to be taken home on the bus? Well, there are in ‘Spooks’. However, in the real world, Boris and his mates use WhatsApp because it’s more secure than government stuff. So probably not.

Here’s the flip side. Should a business not have the right to choose whom it serves? If you as a client, or more likely potential client, rub us up the wrong way, are a declared anti-vaxxer or support the barges, can we not, as a business, say ‘Be Gone’?
